ROME 2010

Although I've spent most of my summer hollidays in Italy, I'd never been in Rome, until my mom&dad both had to teach some courses at the university there. I decided to come along, because it'd be a shame not to visit this ancient city loaded with history (and fashion, not to forget. Oh, and beautiful weather). I played my part of 'TOURIST' very well, running around with my camera, trying to capture everyting alive and non-alive on film. At one point I even frantically ran around piazza Navona, trying to capture flying bubbles... What a sight that must have been :)

Fav.Coffee.

Do you have an addiction? I have one. Coffee. It's a not a bad addiction though, not at all. It gives you the perfect excuse to take a break (coffee-break), to meet with friends (coffee-date) or to go out the door for no particular reason at all (the I-just-need-good-coffee-no-senseo-excuse).
Since cute coffeeplaces are popping up like mushrooms in every city nowadays, it's not that hard to find a place to get your daily black shot.

Although I always like discovering new places, here in Ghent I have already found "the one".

Located in the center of Ghent, Or Coffee is an espressobar serving the best coffee in town. I mean, even Starbucks can't beat it (Just joking. Everyone can beat Starbucks.) The wooden interior is very comforting and makes you feel at home right away. Talking about home. I think me and my friends made it our mission to settle down in Or, we partly live there, which suits us perfectly fine. And on top of the perfect coffee, they also serve delicious breakfast and lunch, so there's no reason not to pop in when you're in the neighbourhood...

Oh by the way, if you want proof that coffee really ìs the greatest addiction ever - check this out...

ITALY 2011

In september 2011, me and my 2 fashiongirls Athi and Liesel decided to go on a roadtrip through Italy. Too bad Ems couldn't join us, since she'd had the offer for a very important internship in Vietnam which she couldn't refuse.

We had 10 days of sun, fun, food, fashion,... Rome, Firenze, Siena, they all passed the revue and it was hard to say which city was our favourite..

MELB.FASH.

Let's talk fashion today.

A few weeks ago I met up with a Belgian Melbourne-insider, who immigrated about a year ago for work. We talked about the city (really stunning and liveable), housing (expensive but there are some cheap options, so searching is the key), safety (véry good, she feels safer at night in Melbourne than in Belgium), and fashion.
This is the advice about fashion I wrote down
:

Well, I strongly have to disagree on this one. Of course I haven't lived and shopped there myself, but according to my favourite Australian blogs the clothes are super pretty and you can find some pretty good deals.

Tuula is wearing a Topshop top, Asos skirt and Zara shoes, all very familiar brands which are not too pricey.

London 2011

As I said before, London has slowly conquered a special place in my heart. So when I got the chance to do a citytrip with my bestie, we didn't hesitate and railed off to Ldn. We had an amazing time, discovering every part of the city, partied like hell, sat in the park with magazines... Remember? ALL the things I love :-) It was Legen-wait-for-it-dary!

INSPIRATION - PHOTOGRAPHY

Tim Walker, photographer extraordinaire, has always been my favourite inspiration source. His extravagant pictures always portray a story, which he makes with fantastic scene set-ups, never photoshopped. There's a dreamy, romantic atmosphere hovering in the air which gives you (or me, at least) chills.

His book, "pictures", is a collection of his best work, featured a lot in Vogue, and even his sketchbook is included. The book doesn't come cheap and isn't easy to lift (it weighs a few pounds) but it lets you enter the world of an amazingly creative mind.
You can find more information about Tim Walker here.

2010. THE MOST FASHIONABLE YEAR YET.

In 2010 me and 3 of my best friends had the crazy idea, as the fashion freaks we are, to throw a fashion party for our upcoming birthdays ('roughly' falling in the same half year). The idea got crazier as we thought it would be fun to announce it with a photoshoot.

Completely unprepared, on a day the sun was randomly shining (yes, the sun does shine randomly in Belgium) We climbed up the stairs to L.'s rooftop terrace and started 'shooting' around.. It became a day to never forget.

The party itself also was one to never forget, thanks to everyone who came and who helped set it up!

Amazing times...

TARIFA 2010

Let's go on holliday.

In 2010, I decided last minute to go to Tarifa, Spain for a well deserved vacation after my exams, with a few friends. We had an amazing time, chilling on the beach, partying in the little town...
Oh, you have to love sun-drenched hollidays...

More sunshine after the jump...

GHENT

Home sweet home. That's what they say, right? Well, when living in Ghent, that's certainly true! The historical background is gorgeous(allthough - as all women and girls know - the cobblestones are a pain in the *ss) , the people are friendly, artistic an pretty and the parties are legendary...

LONDON 2009

OH, London, how I love you. Our start was difficult, with little street thugs steeling my bag and everything, but when I visited a dear friend of mine who lived there, she showed me how to love your beautiful, always surprising city. Oh, how I went crazy shooting all the beauty and weirdness I saw...

SYDNEY 2009

SYDNEY JULY 2009.

As a young ambitious student, I wanted to perfect my English. And where better to do this than in Sydney, Australia? Off I went, my first time to the other side of the world. Eventually surf sessions were more frequent than the English lessons, but I got good grades and had an amazing time, something to never forget. I fell in Love with Australia.

Let the pictures tell you why.

PARIS 2009

Since I've got to learn how to blog (read: how to use this application), I'll randomly post pictures from travels I've made in the past. I'm not really a big writer, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

First stop: Paris.
